Rawalpindiz are the newest name in the PSL, and their first season did not go to plan. After finishing last in 2026, PSL 2027 (HBL PSL 12, 18 March to 2 May 2027) is a big rebuilding year for the Rawalpindi franchise.
Who Owns Rawalpindiz?
Rawalpindiz are owned by Walee Technologies. In February 2026, Walee bought the original Multan franchise, moved it to Rawalpindi and renamed it Rawalpindiz. Walee also holds the PSL broadcast rights in Pakistan from 2026 to 2029. The team's home ground is Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Rawalpindiz in PSL 2026
Rawalpindiz won only 1 of their 10 league matches and finished eighth with 2 points and a net run rate of −1.760. That came despite a big spend at the 2026 auction, where they bought the most expensive player, Naseem Shah (PKR 8.65 crore), and the top overseas player, Daryl Mitchell (PKR 8.05 crore).

Will Mohammad Amir Play for Rawalpindiz in PSL 2027?
Mohammad Amir was part of the Rawalpindiz squad in 2026. Players bought in 2026 signed two-year contracts, so he can play in PSL 2027 unless the team releases or trades him, or he decides not to play. There is no official update yet.

Rawalpindiz have star names but need a balanced team. Expect the most changes of any franchise through releases, the trade window and the PSL 2027 auction.
