Captain Shadab Khan was named the best all-rounder of the season, and Faheem Ashraf was the second most expensive buy at the 2026 auction at PKR 8.5 crore.

The league stage was not the problem in 2026, the knockouts were. Islamabad will look for match-winners who can handle pressure games, and for overseas cover, since several of their foreign players could be affected by the IPL clash.
