PSL 2027 auction date (PSL 12 auction date): not announced yet. PCB has confirmed that a player auction will be held before HBL PSL 12, after direct signings, retentions and a trade window. Reports suggest late December 2026 or January 2027, but PCB has not confirmed any date.
PSL Auction 2027: What PCB Has Confirmed
In its 8 October 2026 announcement, PCB listed the steps that will lead into PSL 12. They are expected in this order:

We will add each date here the day PCB announces it. Social media posts that give an exact PSL 2027 auction date are not based on an official announcement.
PSL 2027 Draft or Auction?
There is no PSL 2027 draft, and no PSL draft 2027 date to wait for. From 2016 to 2025, PSL teams picked players through a draft, with fixed salary categories (Platinum, Diamond, Gold, Silver and Emerging). In 2026 the league replaced the draft with its first-ever player auction, where teams bid openly within a fixed purse. So if you are searching for the "PSL 2027 draft date" or "PSL 12 draft", what you are looking for is the PSL 2027 auction.
PSL 2027 Trade Window and Direct Signings
The PSL 2027 direct signing round lets franchises sign chosen players before anyone else, and the PSL 2027 trade window lets teams swap players. Both will be announced by PCB before the PSL 12 auction, and both shape how much money each team has left for the auction.
PSL 2027 Retention Rules
PCB has not published the retention rules for PSL 12 yet. What we know from the rules announced with the 2026 auction:
- Two-year contracts: every player signed at the 2026 auction was given a two-year deal, so most squads from PSL 2026 can continue into PSL 2027.
- Up to seven retentions after PSL 11: reports on the auction rules said teams could keep up to seven players after the 2026 season.
- Grand auction after PSL 12: a larger auction is planned after PSL 2027, where teams will be allowed to keep only five players.
Treat the last two points as reported rules until PCB issues the official PSL 2027 retention guidelines.
How the PSL 2026 Auction Worked
The first PSL auction gives the best idea of what to expect in the PSL 2027 auction:

PCB has not said whether the purse or the base prices will change for PSL 2027. Because most players are already under contract, the 2027 auction is expected to be smaller than the 2026 one, with teams filling gaps rather than building whole squads.
PSL 2027 Auction Players List
There is no PSL 2027 auction players list yet. The list is normally published after player registration closes and shortly before the auction. It will include players released by franchises, new Pakistani players and overseas players who register. When it comes out, we will publish the full list with base prices on this page and update our PSL 2027 squads page after every sale.
What Each Team Needs From the PSL 2027 Auction
- Rawalpindiz: finished last with one win. Expect the biggest changes here.
- Quetta Gladiators: only three wins in 2026. Likely to look for match-winners in both batting and bowling.
- Karachi Kings and Lahore Qalandars: both missed the top four on net run rate, so a few sharp signings could be enough.
- Hyderabad Kingsmen: reached the final in their first season. Keeping that core together is the priority.
- Peshawar Zalmi, Islamabad United and Multan Sultans: the top three of 2026 are likely to retain most of their squads and use the auction to cover overseas players who may be busy in the IPL.
PSL 2027 Auction Venue
The PSL 2027 auction venue has not been announced. The first PSL auction was held in Lahore on 11 February 2026.
Where Can I Watch the PSL 2027 Auction Live?
Some reports say the PSL 2027 auction will be streamed live, but PCB has not confirmed the broadcast details yet. They are expected with the auction date. Until then, follow this page and our PSL 2027 news section.
